Software
Shows How to Save Money in Steam Applications
This
software will show how to save money in saturated steam
applications. Energy Savings Estimate (ESE) software
calculates the dollars that can be saved using Ogontz
steam controls and traps in an existing facility or new
construction project, providing detailed cost
savings information for temperature control applications
on unit heaters, winterization steam tracing,
temperature control of traced process piping.
ESE Software calculates the actual savings based on
your specific installation configuration.
Pertinent variables are taken into account to provide an
accurate assessment of the savings. ESE even takes into
account where the facility is located and automatically
approximates the length and severity of the winter
season.
Easy to Use Software
Featuring a user-friendly Windows-based interface,
the ESE software is designed for ease of use.
On-line help guides users through each step of the
process.
The main screen allows users to choose from various
Ogontz control valves and steam traps depending on their
particular application. Included in the control
valve selections are: the Ogontz TL valve for unit heaters, the
TL valve to control steam tracing and the ST valve for process
control. Steam traps that can be specified include:
Ogontz OPT steam traps
that provide the latest technology for long life and high
reliability; and Ogontz CTV
thermostatic steam traps that are ideal for process
tracing. Depending upon which steam valve or steam trap
is chosen, the software asks for specific information
about the application.
For example, in the case of steam tracing, the ESE
program asks for information that includes: the typical
start and end date of winterization; the steam cost; the
steam pressure; the number of tracers; the estimated load
per tracer; the number of tracers per header; and the
closest major city to the facility. The on-line
help can make suggestions for any information that may
not be on hand. ESE then analyzes the data,
computes the annual savings, initial investment, and
return on investment.
Detailed Cost Saving Reports
In the case of winterization tracing, the report provides
a comparison between the automated Ogontz TL system versus manual
systems. For steam traps, the report provides a
detailed performance comparison between Ogontz steam
traps and seven other types of traps. Included in
these types are bi-metallic, conventional thermostatic,
float, inverted bucket, orifice, sub-cooling thermostatic
and thermodynamic disc.
Calculations are furnished in the reports showing how the
results were achieved. Additionally, each report
contains a customized proposal that provides complete and
detailed savings information.
ESE software is compatible with Windows 3.x,
95,98,NT, 2000,XP,2003. A simple installer program
copies the software to your hard drive.
